ECK Farms follows the following return, refund and replacement policy. Please read if you plan to purchase any items (either in store or online).
In store purchases follow a different policy than online purchases. This is because in store customers have the opportunity to see alive items, before leaving the store. We simply can't guarantee what happens to alive items once they leave our store, thus why the following policy is put into place. Both policies are outlined below.
In store purchases: Return, Refund and Replacement policy:
- All alive items are final once they leave the store. No refunds, returns or replacements will be given. Please look over your alive items before leaving the store.
- Taxidermy skulls are final. No refunds (even on down payments), replacements, or returns are accepted for any reason.
- All other items (not related to alive items or taxidermy skulls) will be able to be returned for a refund or replacement only if the following criteria are met.
- Items must be brought into store with a receipt within 7 days of purchase.
- Items must be new in box, unused with original tags attached, to be returned for in-store credit or replacement of different item of equal or lesser value.
- Items meeting the following criteria will be given store credit or replacement only. No cash returns are accepted. These items must include proof of purchase (receipt).
Online purchases: Return, Refund and Replacement Policy:
- Alive items come with a live arrival guarantee. This means if the items you ordered are alive normally and they arrive dead ECK Farms will send a replacement item of the same product (same value and same count). No refunds are given on alive items and no returns of alive items are accepted. This applies to orders with which the following rules are followed.
- ECK Farms provides an overstock of 10% on all alive orders. This means that more than 10% of the originally alive items must be dead. We provide this because shipping is hard on the insects and thus, we expect you will lose a few alive insects during transit.
- Alive items must be held at post office if your projected high temperatures are above 80 degrees or projected low temperatures below 40 degrees. Check your weather forecast and add a note stating hold at post office and provide your phone number.
- ECK Farms must be notified via email within 2 hours of USPS time stamp of dead items. This email MUST include pictures, videos or other media to show items are clearly dead. These items must be left in the original container and clearly show the ECK Farms labeling we provide on all orders. You must include these pictures/media within 2 hours of the USPS time stamp showing delivery. Our email address is eckfarms22@gmail.com.
- All other items (non-alive) sold online are final. No refunds, no returns and no replacements are accepted, except for the following situations.
- Item arrives damaged.
- ECK Farms must be notified within 2 hours of USPS time stamp. This email must include pictures/media clearly showing damaged items. This media must show clearly ECK Farms labeling on damaged items. Our email address is eckfarms22@gmail.com
- If your item does arrive damaged, ECK Farms will send a replacement only (of same value), no refunds or returns are accepted.
